Ok, so I said i might share the birth story.
So here it is, but i am not the best writer on making something like this really interesting, though i will try.
On Wednesday of 10th of August ( my due date ), we had been out at my Dad and Mom's place all day. It was about 4:00 and we were going to head home, but i thought we should help pick the raspberries before we go. So we do that and in the mean time i keep having these tightenings like i had been having earlier in the day as well. I wouldn't call them contractions, though i could tell they were leading up to that soon.
That took us about an hour.
Then we head out to our place ( it is 12 miles from my parents), but we decided to check out a blueberry patch first that is just a few miles from their place. Lots of blueberries, so we begin picking berries.
I am squatting down picking berries, and keep having tightenings. I am thinking this must be contractions, but they sure are not hard or hurt at all. So i ignore them and keep on. We are there about 45 min. The kids are complaining they are hungry. I know we need to get on home and make supper and get prepared for what make be coming on yet this evening, but these blueberries sure look good. My desire for blueberry pie win out, and i keep on picking for awhile more.
Then i tell hubby, " i know we hate to stop picking when there is so many berries yet, but i think we should use best wisdom here and get on home." I had been telling him how had been feeling.
So he agrees and get everyone in van and head on home.
Soon as i get home i hurry and warm up left overs for supper and we eat, and then clean up the kitchen. By this time i am calling it contractions and they are more regular now and more intense though not nothing to breath through or painful or anything.
I call mom and tell her, and that to expect a call from me in the night to come be with the kids. Then i talk to a friend and tell her. She tells me, " your an hour from the hospital, you better not leave it to the last minute, because you really don't want to deliver on the road." I tell her, " oh with my record i hardly need to worry of that. Mine have been so drug out!"
Still though what she said made be a bit concerned. I phone mom back and tell her what my friend said, and also asks if she thinks i should call the hospital and tell them what's up and see what they suggest since i am an hour away and this is my 6th. She thinks i should call.
So i phone the hospital, and of course they want me to come right in and be check out.
So i phone mom back and tell her, " i knew i shouldn't of phoned the hospital! They want me to come in and be checked out. I don't want to go all that way for nothing." She says, " yes, i thought they would want you to, and yes, it is a good idea."
So i finish packing my bag, and check to see if everything i need for baby is in the diaper bag, get my camera, slippers , ect. I tell the kids what's going on. And let them know Grandma is coming to be with. It is going on 9:00 so time to tuck the kids in bed. Prayers and songs and good nights are said.
Then i sit and wait for mom to arrive. Contractions are very regular, about 5 min. apart though still nothing hard at all.
She arrives about 9:30, and we head off to the hospital .
Arrive and check in at about 10:40 p.m.
They put me in a room and hook me up to monitors for 20 min. They check that and say all is well with baby, and that i have had some good contractions. I hope that means we are really progressing though, it is still totally unpainful. The Doctor checks me out at this point. He tells me i am not dilated at all, though he said i am progressing to that.
I am not happy at all to hear that.
He said we can either go home, though he does not thinks that is just the best because of our distance from the hospital, or we can get a room in town, but they would not keep me in the hospital since i have not even started dilating. Because it could still be many hours yet or could go quickly.
So we decide on a room. It is only a few minutes away from the hospital. We get settled in the room about 11:30. It is a room with a hot tub. I am like , "wow, this is nice, but it is a little late to enjoy this." I am tired and feel like i need rest bad. But the hot tub is so inviting that i get in for 15 min. It feels so good. The contractions are feeling a bit more intense now. I get out and go t bed.
I am able to rest in between contractions. By 1:00, the contractions become very intense, and i am now having to breath through these. Hubby is sleeping contently and i know he will need his sleep, so i do not bother him. Though i am surprised that he is able to sleep through my tossing and turning and Lamaze breathing.
By 2:00 i am like, " ok, when should i wake up hubby." This is betting bad."
By 2:30 i wake him, and say, "i think we had better get back to the hospital".
We sees me breath through a contraction and he says, " so this is the real thing now, huh?"
He phones the hospital to tell them we are headed back over.
At 2:40 we are checked back in. They give me gown this time, and as soon as i dress and get on the bed, the Doctor is there to check me out. This time he says exactly what i want to hear. "You are fully dilated now , and you can push at any time and have this baby here soon!"
I am thrilled though i try not to get to excited, because i know my record that it could be awhile yet. ( i usually take quite awhile after this point before i feel any push pains.)
At this point like always i begin to loose it. I start to holler instead of my breathing. They encourage me to start to push as soon as the next contraction comes on. So i try that, and do ok for a few, then loose it again.
I find it more comforting to holler, " I can't do this, i can't do this!", instead of the breathing.
They continue to coach me with the pushing, and i am beginning to make progress. The head is descending. Then, i again, complain, " i can't do this!" But it is almost there now. A final good long push, and i hear the them say, " he is here, you did it!!" It was 3:52 a.m.
Time to rjoice!! It is all over and the Good Lord has blessed us with another son!! I had hoped on a girl, but am happy for this healthy sweet little boy anyway!!
You may be thinking, " that nice room with the hot tub didn't even hardly get used, what a shame!" I though that too, and was thinking , " gosh we could have planned ahead on this, and really made an eveing of it!!" But after baby was born, and i was put in my room, Pual went back there to sleep some more, and make phones calls, and use the high speed intenet service!
So it got some use.
Well untill next time,

Grateful and Thankful!!
This post is on mostly on things that i am grateful or thankful for at the moment, and just other things that is happening in my life at this time.
I have decided to write this post much the same as you would write a status on face book. So very informal, yet quite formative and and newsy. And hopefully very easy to read.
Mae:
~is thankful for our newest blessing! ( our baby boy ) And that he is perfectly well and healthy!!
~is grateful for the relatively short and easy labour!
~is very thankful that i had a most lovely pregnancy with no complications of any kind. Though i did have to wear long support socks for varicose veins. And glad i was not in the heat ( Texas )wearing those!!

I love the 4 bedrooms, the 2 stories, the basement for storage, the big laundry room, and big living room. Yes, I LIKE MY HOUSE!!!

~loves being in the country. Where it is peaceful and quite. Where deer go through your yard. Where you see tractors and farm equipment at work.
~thinks it is so wonderful we have been able to travel around like this, and that the kids have been able to experience different things and places. Thankful to God making it all possible for us!
~ is thankful for home school!! With out that ,there is no way we could be this free and mobile.

~ is so very grateful and thankful for my wonderful neighbors and friends i have met around here!!
~is thankful for the blessing of good health! I have not been bothered at all here by allergies, as in Texas where i have been bothered bad by something most year around.
~is so looking forward to settling in here for the winter!!
~ is so very grateful for all the berries, and veges i have put up in our wonderful big ole freezer!!
~ is so blessed to have 6 wonderful, beautiful, and healthy children!! Blessings straight from Heaven!!

~ is so happy that wonderful hubby is willing to live where he thinks it is cold all summer just for me! How special is that!!
~ is thankful for this blog, to share my thoughts, my believes, and heart ramblings, and so on.
~ loves the things God has put on my heart to share here with others.
~ has been reading books of true stories of lives of those in other countries that are so much less fortunate than us, yet are so happy and thankful for the things they do have, and the ways God has blessed them, and how by their lives they have been a blessing to others. So special to see. Helps us to be more appreciative and thankful for what we have. And helps us to see how spoiled we are here in America.
~ has lots of thoughts on my mind that i am eager to share here as i have time.
Here is a few things that i am planing for up coming posts.
My thoughts on prayer.
God's wonderful promises to those who love and obey Him.

P.S. It has been brought to my attention that there has been a problem with leaving comments on my blog. That really upsets me since i love hearing your thoughts and comments of what i write here on my blog. But i have tyred checking in to what is the matter and see no reason why your comments are not coming on. So there seems nothing i can do about it. I apologize for the problem. All i can say is try again and maybe this time you will be lucky. Thanks for reading!!

Taking a break
Just had to get on here a made a quick post, saying that i am taking a break for awhile. So not to expect anything form me for a time. I hope not to long though.
I so wanted to make that post about God's Promises and have been looking up verses on it. But i just do not have the time to get it altogether, and make the post at this moment. I am excited about getting it together and sharing it here.
Why?, because i totally love God's promises to us. I am in complete awe of what all HE has promised to his children!! To those who love and obey him.
And i love talking about it!!!
So when life slows down here, I will have time to post that and much more as God puts great thing on my mind and heart!
Right now we are busy cleaning and fixing up a house we are getting to rent. So right now each day find us running the 12 miles from my parents place to that house, and spending the whole day there. Then coming home and quickly get the kids ready to bed, stories, and prayers. And then next day to it all over again!!
So life is very hectic to say the least at the moment. Basically we are living between 2 houses right now. Be glad when we have it ready to move in, and life slows down and gets back to normal. Course then soon will come sweet babe. But that's ok.
ok, well that is it for now. We are all doing very good and life is great in our neck of the woods!! I think it is amazing how at this time of year here it is light till after 12:00 p.m, and then getting light agian by around 3:00 a.m. By 4:30 a.m it is light enough to be out side doing somthing!!
Will write again when i can.

long time no post
I know it has been awhile since i made a post on here. And i regret that, but life has been busy.
And basically just taking a break from this.
Life is going good for us here in Alberta. Everything is much the same here as my last post.
Only difference is we have finally gotten a lot of rain after being so dry for a long time. So has been a really blessing to the gardens.
Now the gardens are really flourishing. We have been eating swish chard, spinach, radishes, beet greens, and some broccoli om the garden already. The peas are setting on already as well.
It has been nice and cool in the mornings but really warms up in the afternoons and feels hot to me, though i know it is still cooler than Texas. The afternoon temps have been between the 70 and 80sF.
The kids are doing great and really enjoy helping their grandpa and grandma in the gardens. I am so glad they have lots to do like that.
Well in my next post i plan to write about God's promises. Well at least some of them, i know there is many, many promises from God to us.
I have recently gave a wall hanging to my mom that has several of God's promises written on it. I just love it. That is what gave me the inspiration for the post.
But i don't plan to just copy those down here like that, i want to find the scripture reverence where they are found. So that will take me awhile to look them up in the concordance and see where they are found. I will be working on that in the near future and then post when i can.
So look for the coming post titled God's Promises.
Till next time,

little more news from the north
I just posted basic news on me fam. yesterday, but since thought of a few things i forgot then.
One thing is the mosquitoes are usually really bad this time of year or can be, but as of late we have hardly even noticed them. Atleast not just around our yard. Also the no-see-omes ( little nat like things you can harly see ), have also been anyoing for awhile. They haven't been so bad either last few days. Usually the season for those don't seem to last to long, atleast not all summer long. So that is good!
We have been meeting other families in the area, so that has been excting. Great for the kids and for mom ( me ).
Deers come up close to the yard and garden once in awhile. So that has been entresting. We also have seen wolves on 2 occasions. They were out in a field here a long ways from the house. We have not seen any bears around here yet. Hoping they will not be any, casue they can really do a toll on the wild berries . And i am really looking forward to the berries.
The kinds of berries that grow around here are blueberries, saskatoons, chocherries, pin-cherries, high bush cranberries, and low bush crannberies. My Dad and Mom grow thier own rasberries, strawberries, black currents, and red currents.
That is my most favorite thing i like about here is the berries.
Well the berries, and the fact the summer weather is cooler than Texas!!
We are still waiting on my husband's papper work to go through. Hoping and hoping it will go through soon. So at this point it is a little hard on us not knowing if we will be heading back to Texas come this fall or tucking in here for the winter. I am so hoping to be here this winter. It will certainly be a neat experice for us all! And i should have lots to post!
Ok, i think thats it for now.
I will post along as there is news to share about us. And will certainly be sharing things that come on my heart and mind as God gives me.
I love your comments as always!

snow in June!
Here it is a very beautiful sunny day at about 72F! Very lovely weather!
But only a couple days ago on June 3rd we woke to a scattering of snow. And continued to snow for a couple hours. The kids were excited hoping for snow to play in. But by the time it stopped snow it was all melted away.
The garden was not bother through that, not even the tomatoes! That night though we heard it was to frost hard so we went out and gathered up as many buckets and plastic we could find and covered several tomato plants. It did not freeze though. We were glad even though we did all that covering for nothing. Because there was many more things that would have been damaged by the frost if had.
Now that we are past that I don't think we will have to worry of a frost again till fall.
We are very much hoping for rain now for the gardens , for they are getting very dry and my parents have had to start watering by sprinkler. That is good for sure to have that back up, but is nothing like a good ole rain!
Everything else is going great.
The kids are still having a blast here with lots to do. Though they do miss things about Texas. The miss our wonderful little place there, their uncle and aunt that lived right there by us, their grandma, and their friends at the park were we met with our home school group. They really do miss that alot. But other wise they are content and happy here and very much flourishing in this wonderful environment. I just am so grateful my parents do not have a T.V.
I am doing very good, pregnancy coming along just fine and dandy!! Next check-up is on the 15th, then i will have less than 2 months to go!! I can not believe how fast the time seems to be flying by. I just love pregnancy so much that i don't like to see it go by so quickly. But of course as it nears to the end i am always very anxious to have that sweet baby here and to get it all over with! lol! I don't like labour, not one bit! I guess that is why i wish the peragnacy part would last so long! Put off labour as long as i can!
Well i guess that is all for now.
I will keep updating on us along through out the summer.
